Quick notes

Quick notes are standalone comments not tied to a text selection. Use them for thoughts, todos, or feedback that does not quote anything.

Create a quick note

Create a quick note from the popover or the menu bar icon:

• Click the New quick note button in the popover header.
• Right-click the menu bar icon and choose New Quick Note.

Both open a composer with no quoted text. Write your note and press Cmd+Return to save. Quick notes have no global hotkey of their own.

Quick note behavior

Quick notes behave like any other comment:

• Attach images with the paperclip button or by pasting into the text field.
• Pick a target session with the composer’s session picker. See sessions.
• Cards show a Quick Note type label, and support the same statuses and actions as other comments. See statuses and history.
